Installation (video, metal bed filled with water), 2012

The work results from a never-ending fascination with images containing a motif of a reflection and a shadow. The optic record is the most mysterious synthesis of those phenomena. An intense gaze at the simplest of motifs, i.e. rain drops, changes it irreversibly. Reflection and shadow do not need their source. I regain myself between one and the other, even if apparently I do not exist.

Silhouette of a person with hands on hips or lap projected onto a large screen in a dark gallery space. A metal bed frame stands in front, and a brick wall with round fixtures is visible in the background.

A dimly lit gallery space features an abstract projection evocative of a microscopic image. The shadow of a person sits on a metal-framed bed.
