Camera Obscura

By making cameras according to my own design, I gain new possibilities of shaping the image. Such recordings do not allow me to forget about the power inherent in every process of reality replication. To understand them, you must believe in the magic that flows from each act of creating images.

A top-down black-and-white photograph of a domestic space with wooden floors and light streaming in from the right side. At the center, a man in a suit lies with his hands clasped. The image's rotation creates the illusion that he is standing.

Untitled (self-portrait),
pinhole photograph, 1999

A black-and-white photograph depicts a person in a suit standing in a narrow corridor, holding out indistinct objects. The corridor's converging lines and a light strip overhead create a dramatic perspective.
